WELLFIELD TRUST SCHOOL UNIFORM FUND

In 2020 the Trust introduced a school uniform fund, which is administered by Citizens Advice Welwyn Hatfield.  In 2022/23 the Wellfield Trust awarded sum of £3,500 to the fund. This fund is open to applications from residents living in Hatfield and paid by vouchers, which are redeemed at Smarty’s school uniform shop in Hatfield.

THE WELLFIELD ROOM is available for hire at very reasonable rates, is easily accessible and can seat 30 people.  It is also available free of chargeto self-help voluntary groups where the majority of its members are living in Hatfield and on low income or state benefits.  If you know of any such group, who are looking for somewhere to meet, let us know!

Our SCOOTER LOAN SCHEME has become very successful in giving residents back their independence.  Over 50 people have benefited from the scheme and, as scooters are ‘recycled’, more will benefit in the future.  If you know anyone who is virtually housebound and would benefit from the loan of a scooter, let us know!
